RS Pondok Indah’s Intensive Care Unit is supported by board-certified physicians with years of experience in caring for critical patients that require intensive care. In addition, the Unit comes complete with modern and cutting-edge medical equipment. 

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Care for critical patients requires continuous surveillance and monitoring. The vital signs monitor of the intensive-care patients is directly connected to the central monitor system, looked after by a doctor and nurses on duty. Beds in this unit comes complete with built-in X-Ray function and thus, moving patients to Radiology Unit for medical imaging is no longer necessary. Medical technologies, CVVH (Continuous Veno-Venous Hemofiltration) and CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), are also available for patients with acute kidney failure or chronic problem that cannot receive conventional hemodialysis.

Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU)

The Intensive Cardiac Care Unit is specially designed for patients with acute heart problems. Supported by medical personnel who are experienced in handling cardiac emergency measures and critical heart patients. This unit is also equipped with modern medical technology and facilities.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

An intensive care unit for pediatric patients. This unit is also supported by modern facilities and medical technology, and is equipped with a pediatric ventilator. Procedures in the unit include treatment for infants with patent ductus arteriosus, or children diagnosed with congenital cardiac disease, as well as caring for pediatric patient after cardiac surgery.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

An intensive care unit for newborn babies in need of a special handling under the supervision of neonatologist, general doctors, and nurses. This unit can handle and optimize the treatment for premature newborn babies (less than 37 weeks), prevent and treat infant’s vital organ failure caused by the prematurity as early as possible, or babies that are born with or without complication of congenital disease. 

The vulnerable condition of newborn babies requires the NICU to be equipped with a broad range of cutting edge medical technology to optimize the treatment, starting from cooling therapy, high frequency oscillatory (HFO), incubator, infant warmer, EKG saturation monitor, brain oxygen saturation monitor, baby blood pressure monitor, to ventilator (breathing aid device).
