Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL)

Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) is a non-invasive procedure to treat urinary tract stones, bladder stones, kidney stones, or gallstones by utilizing shock waves from outside the body without damaging other body tissues.

The ESWL uses ultrasonic or electrohydraulic shock waves that will break down the stone into smaller sizes to make the stones come out through the urine.

Our unit uses direct focusing technology with a triple locator system (a stone tracker), which not only speed up the procedure time, but also reduces the pain, and produces smoother sound to ensure your comfort during the treatment.

The procedure involves a series of examinations and diagnosis which may include urine tests, blood tests, X-rays, USG, CT Scan, or MRI.
