Medical Treatments

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS)

Utilization of electrical energy to stimulate the nerve system through the skin surface. This proven method for pain relief is frequently utilized to treat bones, muscles, and joints problems, especially after surgery.

Radial Shock Wave Therapy (RSWT)

RSWT uses wave energy conducted to injured tissues to induct biochemical substance that is vital in metabolic activities related to tissue regeneration processes. This non-invasive technology can also reduce pain and improve blood circulation that will accelerate the process of recovery from injuries.

Shortwave Diathermy (SWD)

A physiotherapy modality using electromagnetic waves in order to obtain deep heating in local tissue and blood vessels so that it can relax muscles, improve blood circulation, alleviate pain/seizures, and increase cells metabolism.

Microwave Diathermy (MWD)

One of the physiotherapy modalities that applies therapeutic approach with microwaves in electromagnetic wave. This therapy aims to increase the local metabolism so that it can improve blood circulation, increase tissue metabolism, and help muscle relaxation.

Low Level Laser Therapy (Cold Laser)

A therapy that uses low intensity laser wave with different wavelengths, adjusted to the targeted tissue’s depth. The laser absorbed by skin cells will change the cells’ biological activity, which consequently stimulates wound healing, reduce pain and inflammation, and restores injured tissue functions.

Myofascial Release Technique (MRT)

A procedure to release adhesions of muscle connective tissues with combinations of manual pressure and stretching technique. This technique can increase the range of joint movements, reduce pain, and increase muscle and joint flexibility.

Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES)/Faradization

NMES is a noninvasive and comfortable technique, an electrical stimulation applied to targeted muscle groups through electrodes attached to the skin. NMES can repair damaged muscles caused by conditions such as stroke, osteoarthritis, and many more.

Ultrasonic Therapy

A therapy that uses high frequency sound waves to reduce pain and improve collagen recovery process. This therapy can also improve blood circulation, increase tissue metabolism, help muscle relaxation, as well as stimulate the acceleration of tissue repair.

Infrared Radiation (IRR)

A therapy to improve the blood circulation, thereby boosting the tissues’ metabolism. The giving out of IRR is expected to accelerate pain relief. The IRR is used between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on the disease condition.

Paraffin Bath

A therapy to help improve blood circulation and stretch ligaments, tendon, or muscles under the skin surface by removing excess fluids in the surrounding soft tissues.

Bobath Training

An exercise therapy method ranging from the position of lying down, tilted, lying flat on one’s stomach, crawling, sitting, standing, to walking with postural tonic movements to enhance skills and body adaptation to stimulants. The therapy is one of the post-stroke alternatives recovery trainings.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) Exercise

A complex method of movement based on the principles of neuromuscular organ stimulation with additional help from the whole movements. This therapy aims to provide stimulation in accordance with the desired reaction to achieve the coordinated ability or movements. PNF Exercise is commonly conducted in patients with Parkinson.

Speech Therapy

A therapy to help those of you who have speech disorders, speech problems, including swallowing problems, and other neuromotor disorders of articulation organs. The therapy is usually given out to children that experience speech delay and speech disorders, children who have recently undergone a cleft lip surgery, as well as post-stroke patients.

Balancing Training

Balancing training plays an essential role in overcoming balance disorders. Balancing training is a special exercise aims to help improving legs muscle strength and increase vestibular system/physical balance. Our physiotherapists will prepare a comprehensive and integrated training program to assist you.

Daily Living Activity Training

Basic skill training and occupational tasks required to take care of yourself independently. The training performs daily activities with the aim of fulfilling your role as an individual, to allow you to be well accepted by the environment and promote your self-independence.

Sling Training

An exercise to increase muscular capability to adapt to stimulation and burden for both internal and external muscles. Sling trainings are useful for stretching, stabilization, and improve muscle strength from the shoulder to the arms, as well as train sensory motor skills.

VitalStim

A non-invasive therapy to stimulate the nerves and pharyngeal muscles to allow them to contract so as to help patients with swallowing disorders (dysphagia). The therapy utilizes electrical stimulation designed to strengthen muscles involved in the swallowing process.

Traction

A therapy that combines movement with traction that allows the body to adapt by itself. It is used to deal with the acute neck and lumbar pain.

Occupational Therapy

Is an action given to individuals who experience physical and / or mental disorders by using selected target exercises / activities (occupation) to increase individual independence in the area of daily life activities, productivity and utilization of leisure time.

Continuous Passive Motion (CPM)

It is a modality to move the knee joint passively, so that postoperative knee patients feel comfortable and free from pain.

High Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT)

Is a laser modality using a high frequency with a wavelength above 980 nm so that it can reach deeper tissue targets. The purpose of this action is to reduce pain and inflammation, and accelerate the tissue healing process.

Tilting Table

It is a special bed that can help patients who have impaired mobilisation so that they can stand gradually passively.

Inhalation Physiotherapy & Nebuliser

Is a physiotherapy action to administer drugs in aerosol form directly into the respiratory tract and lungs, so that the dose of drugs needed is lower, faster to the target organ, and less side effects.

CHEST Physiotherapy, Vibrator & Breathing Exercise

It is a physiotherapy action to treat disorders of the respiratory tract, consisting of several methods and is carried out to overcome excess mucus in the airway and facilitate its removal.

LymphaTouch

This is a medical procedure using a device that serves to improve lymphatic circulation.

Dry Needle

A method of therapy using special needles to relieve pain and relax the muscles.

Kinesio Tapping

A tapping method to reduce pain and inflammation in soft tissues.

Injection Therapy by Sp.KFR Doctor

A method of injecting drugs by a doctor to reduce symptoms of pain and inflammation.

Exercise Therapy

Exercise therapy with the aim of improving motion function and joint range of motion.

Manual Therapy

Is a special therapy technique to increase the scope of joint motion passively so that the patient's recovery is faster and pain-free.

Static Cycle

Is an exercise therapy using a static bicycle so that it can provide an exercise load that suits the patient's needs.

Electrical Stimulation

Is a therapeutic modality using electric current to reduce pain, stimulate muscle contraction, and increase strength and joint range of motion.

Coordination Exercise

Coordination exercise to improve the patient's motor performance.
