Cardiac & Vascular Intervention Centre RS Pondok Indah Pondok Indah is a minimally invasive and non-surgery intervention unit, includes diagnostic catheterisation (coronary & vascular angiography), coronary artery disease and / or atherosclerosis treatment. Stenting or drug eluting stent (Primary PTCA) will be performed by the specialists in early hours of a sudden heart attack or Acute Myocardial Infarct. Primary PTCA is known as a “gold standard” in a sudden heart attack.
In management of cancer of the pancreas and digestive tract, a team of specialists will perform Trans Arterial Chemo Infusion (TACI), a procedure of inserting a micro catheter into the femoral artery (thigh) towards the cancer site, to achieve better results and minimal side effects. In addition, Trans Arterial Chemo Embolization (TACE) will be carried out in the management of cancer of the liver. The procedure involves inserting a micro catheter to deposit a drug on the cancer site, reducing the size of the tumour further by embolization on the feeding artery.
